5 Flaws to Evade in an IELTS Speaking Task

IELTS Speaking Test

First time to test IELTS? Then find out that you make some of these flaws. These errors can significantly affect vocabulary and grammar. Making one of these flaws will lower your group’s score. If you want to be 7 or higher, you should try to sound natural and include the features that the native uses when speaking. Here are 5 flaws to evade in an IELTS speaking task you should know before taking IELTS test.

During my 10 years of IELTS India training, I have helped many students go smoothly through their exam days. Here we have collected information that highlights some of the common IELTS flaws you may make on your IELTS Speaking test.

5 Flaws You Should Evade in IELTS

One of the 5 flaws you should evade is that “overcharging” comes from a speaker who doesn’t speak the native language to keep it. Another mistake in the IELTS speaking test is “Save Answers”. This only happens when he has a lot of work to do for a speech test. You will often remember the answers the examiner asks you.

Another mistake is wait and sign, so you should avoid wait and sign. It’s normal, even for Native American speakers, to rest. When you take this thing into your mind, you will be very worried about it. The more you worry, the more you worry. Be careful of this because your inspector will remove the marks.

Giving “wrong answers” to questions from the reviewer is another common mistake you make. Sometimes you do not answer the questions of the reviewer correctly. It affects our team.

IELTS Speaking Test Flaws

Excessive use of links “is the fifth of the 5 IELTS speaking test flaws you will make. English uses word links to connect groups of words, phrases, and sentences. You may be using these conjunctions incorrectly before each new sentence. Don’t overdo it and try to learn the natural way to use conjunctions in a sentence.

These 5 IELTS reading errors are easy to pick up in different types of information. On your final speech test, make sure you are not mistaken for these errors. Let’s look at this.

Answer a Question with Silence

If you’re not very clear, you don’t know what to say, or you have time to think that a dumb answer is just a matter of time. However, the examiner doesn’t know if you’re thinking, it’s not clear, or you can’t answer because you don’t have a lot of words.

Tricks:

Learn some standard answers and practice them regularly, so you can use them when you need time to think. For example:

Hmm, an interesting question…

Well, I think…

Sorry, can you reply again?

Flat Pronunciation and Pronunciation

For a higher group score in the speech test pronunciation test criteria, you must demonstrate pronunciation characteristics, such as word association, stress, and sound.

This is difficult for Chinese speakers, as the two languages are very different, sometimes resulting in flat pronunciation and ambiguity.

Tricks:

Listen to a short story from a native English speaker (good language)

Write what they say, and write it down: words that are strong; the rise and fall of the voice; words that follow each other

Read the Story Again

Compare your record to the original and note the differences

Repeat this with different symbols and different shapes.

 A Simple Word

In order for your vocabulary (vocabulary resources) to be well received, you need to have as many words as you can use, for a variety of purposes.

Tricks:

Of course, if you don’t have words when you’re talking about a topic, write a word list in your workbook about that topic. For example – “Space” or “health”.

So, read/listen/watch real articles on this topic, with 10 new words each time.

Add it to your notebook list, with a description and example.

Practice reading this topic and pay attention to incorporating new words you have learned.

Short Answers

Remember that the examiner will ask you a question so that you have a chance to show him or her all the English you know. If you give a short answer such as “No” or “Sometimes.”, you will not be giving English to the examiner to identify you.

Tricks:

Practice the oral test at home, often. Take the time to try to figure out the nature of the test. Write yourself down, to hear if you have a long talk. If not, consider other details you can give and try again.

Opening of Part 2 – Repeat the Question

In Part 2, you only have 2 minutes to speak and show the observer that you are very good at English. So don’t waste it by just reading the opening list written on the question.

Tricks:

Instead, explain and use a high level English sentence to begin your answer. So, instead of “I’ll describe the time, you can say something like” A few years ago ”or“ I want to tell you about something that happened last year.
