Recent Updates about Ted Cruz’s Climate Change Tweet

In a tweet sent out on December 12, Ted Cruz said that “climate change is not a scientific consensus.” He was responding to a tweet from meteorologist Eric Holthaus, who had said that “2016 is almost certainly going to be the hottest year on record.”

The issue of climate change has been a contentious one in the United States, with some politicians and members of the public denying that it exists or is caused by human activity. However, the vast majority of scientists agree that climate change is real and is caused by human activity.

Mean of Backlash

Cruz’s tweet sparked a backlash from many people, including some who pointed out that he had previously said that he believes in climate change. In an interview with NPR in 2015, Cruz said that “the evidence is fairly clear that the Earth is getting warmer.” He also said that “human activity is contributing to that warming.”

It’s unclear why Cruz changed his position on climate change, but it’s possible that he was trying to appeal to voters who don’t believe in it. Whatever the reason, his tweet shows that he doesn’t understand the science of climate change. And that’s not acceptable from someone who wants to be our leader.

However, the tweet appears to be fake. A search of Cruz’s verified Twitter account shows no tweets matching that description. The earliest reference to the purported tweet that a reverse image search turns up is from February 2021, when social media users began sharing it after news broke about Cruz’s trip to Mexico.

It’s not clear who created the fake tweet or why. But it’s likely that it was intended to mock Cruz in light of his recent actions.

This isn’t the first time that fake tweets have been circulated about Cruz. In December 2020, for example, social media users shared a fabricated screenshot of a tweet supposedly from Cruz that read: “Merry Christmas to all, except to the Democrats who are trying to steal the election.”

And in November 2020, Cruz was the target of a hoax involving a fake tweet that claimed he had been caught cheating on his wife.

Image Trending on Social Media Handles

The image, which has been circulating on social media, shows the tweet being posted at 5:44 p.m. on Sept. 8, 2016. We searched on Twitter and found no trace of Cruz posting the tweet then — or at any other time. Nor did we find the post in an archived version of his Twitter account from Sept. 9, 2016.

The tweet also isn’t in a log of deleted tweets by Cruz that is maintained by ProPublica.

This appears to be a fabricated tweet. It’s not clear who created it or why. But it’s not real.

So, even though the tweet in question is fake, it’s clear that Senator Cruz has a history of challenging the facts on climate change.

So it seems like Ted Cruz has had a change of heart when it comes to accepting help from the federal government. Just a few days ago, he was against asking for assistance from FEMA in the wake of the winter storms that have caused so much damage in Texas. But now, it seems like he’s changed his tune and is asking for millions of dollars in aid.

This sudden change of heart is sure to cause some controversy, especially given how vocal Cruz was against accepting federal help just a few days ago. Some people are already accusing him of hypocrisy, and it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming days. Either way, it’s clear that Ted Cruz is feeling the pressure to do something to help his constituents in this time of need.

Final Words:

It’s clear that Ted Cruz is feeling the pressure to do something to help his constituents in this time of need. Even though the tweet in question is fake, it’s clear that Senator Cruz has a history of challenging the facts on climate change. This latest incident just goes to show how easily misinformation can spread online – and how important it is to be critical of everything we see and read on the internet.
