Some people think that bottling somehow equals purity. This is far from the truth. The level of contamination at bottlers is no better than at public waste facilities. Mineral water is good for the body because of its nutrient content. Trace minerals like potassium and sodium improve taste. The latest purification plants therefore use ion exchange to “balance” the content, but avoid problems with hard water.
Mineral water recharge systems, on the other hand, remove all the natural minerals found in groundwater and then replace them. This only makes sense in desalination plants, not in the home.
Depending on the system, chemicals may still be present. Reverse osmosis alone does not remove these contaminants. Activated carbon and polymer blocks are needed to perform these functions.
The best solution is a filtration system that includes an ion exchange stage, a carbon stage and a multilayer block combined with a micron filter to remove microscopic bacteria and other microscopic contaminants. Although these systems are more technologically advanced than mineral rejuvenation water treatment systems, they cost much less.
Better quality at a lower price seems too much to ask. However, you can enjoy mineral water without spending a fortune on it.
